Among a series of chawan such as the Old Shigaraki "Mizu no Ko Chawan" and the Koryo "Ido Kohiki," there are many small chawan, like the "Small Ido."

Chojiro's chawan, said to have been desired by Rikyu, are subdued in firing and generally small.

Being small, they fit in the palm of one's hand.

I believe that having each piece of nature in one's palm is Rikyu's wabi tea.
