《Small Wabi Chawan》

Among a series of chawan, such as Koshigaraki with the famous "Mizunoko" chawan, Goryeo, and Ido Kohiki, there are many small chawan like "Koido" (small Ido). The chawan made by Chojiro, which is said to have been desired by Rikyu, has a subdued firing and is small overall. Because it is small, it fits in the palm of one's hand. I believe that the nature of each piece, contained within the palm, is Rikyu's wabi-cha.
