《Small Wabi Tea Bowls》
There are many small tea bowls, like Ko-Ido, among the series of tea bowls, such as the Ko-Shigaraki tea bowl with the famous "Mizu no Ko" inscription, and Goryeo Ido kohiki.
The tea bowls made by Chojiro, which Rikyu is said to have desired, are fired with a subdued finish and are small overall.
Being small, they fit snugly in the palm of one's hand.
I believe that Rikyu's wabi-cha may have involved holding each of nature's elements in one's palm.
- Celadon -
Celadon is described as "rain clears the sky to blue" or "jade-colored celadon," likened to the beauty of nature.
I believe it is very well-suited for Kirei-sabi tea bowls.
*Comes with the artist's box inscription.
